Homeschool FAQ

How personalized can the learning plan be for my athlete’s needs and interests?

The accredited online curriculum,, on which the homeschool program is based, has certain core requirements, dependent on grade, but electives can be customized and the order and pace of the courses is entirely up to the student.

Will my child’s homeschool education be recognized by colleges and universities?

Yes, the online curriculum is accredited and leads to an Ontario Secondary Diploma, valid and recognized when applying to major Universities globally. The tests and exams are all proctored by Monarque’s Certified Teachers and Academic Coaches.

How do homeschooled athletes stay connected socially with peers?

A high-performance athlete typically identifies their closest friends as those who participate in the same sport, team or club, since they relate the most to their lifestyle and spend the most time together. They rely less on the academic environment for their social connections.

How does homeschooling support both mental health and athletic performance?
The student does not have to put in a long day commuting to school, in classes, at recess and lunch to earn their academic credits. Homeschooling allows them to focus on core subjects and limit the learning time each day to 2-4 hours, allowing them to have more energy to focus on their sport, where they can build confidence and achieve their goals.
